What Does SGPA Stand For?

SGPA stands for Semester Grade Point Average. It measures your academic performance for a single semester by calculating the weighted average of grade points earned in that semester’s courses.

How is SGPA Calculated?

SGPA = ฮฃ (Grade Point ร— Credits) / ฮฃ Credits

  • Database Systems (4 credits): A = 9 โ†’ 36
  • Operating Systems (4 credits): A+ = 10 โ†’ 40
  • Networks (3 credits): B+ = 8 โ†’ 24

  • Lab (2 credits): A = 9 โ†’ 18

Total quality points: 145. Total credits: 16. SGPA = 145/16 = 9.06
